Music Review:Lostprophets

Lostprophets is a Alternative Rock/Hard Rock/Nu Metal(Early) band formed in 1997. They play a big role in getting me into music during recent years. They released four studio albums, and I will review all of them.

The Fake Sound Of Progress(2001)

I noticed that some of the name's for the track's have almost nothing to do with the song itself. Lostprophets debut album is kind of a mixed bag. Some Lostprophets fans say that it is their weakest album. Some say it is their strongest album, by far. It isn't a GREAT album, it's good, maybe above average, but not by much.

1) Shinoba Vs. Dragon Ninja: A kick-ass track from begining to end. 9/10

2) The Fake Sound Of Progress: Another amazing song off the album. 8.9/10

3) Five Is A Four Letter Word: This song isn't as good as the first two, but its good. 7.7/10

4) And Sh
e Told Me To Leave: Take's some time getting used too. 7/10

5) Kobraki: Pretty cool. 7.5/10

6) The Handsome Life Of Swing: Has some screaming vocals and such. 7.3/10

7) A Thousand Apologies: I like this. 7.7/10

8) Still Laughing: A song that is kind of moving. 7.8/10

9) For Sure: A song that kind of reminds me of Still Laughing and A Thousand Apologies. 8/10

10) Awkward: Meh. 6.2/10

11) Ode To Summer: A inspiring song I listened too all the time the last month before summer ended. I remember quoting some of the lyrics on my anchie
nt posts on this blog. 8.2/10

Overall: 7.7

Start Something(2004)

The album that helped bring my music libary to life. My libary had pretty much almost nothing, but then one day my sister was cleaning out her CD's and I saw that, and I thought "this looks cool". When I was done with this album, I wanted too get all the other albums, which I couldn't until a year later. This then led me to get all sorts of other bands.

1) We Still Kill The Old Way: Has this nice opening, and is pretty good throughout. 8.1/10

2) To Hell We Ride: Not my favorite. 7.3/10

3) Last Train Home: Truly amazing. Favorite off the album. 10/10

4) Make A Move: Another one of my favorites off Start Something. 8.5/10

5) Burn, Burn: Pretty cool. 8/10

6) I Don't Know: Song Name...I Don't Know. 7.8/10

7) Hello Again: Kind of reminds me of Still Laughing. 8/10

8
) Goodbye Tonight: I used this song in the Food Court 2 Credits, it was cool. 7.5/10

9) Start Something: Has some scream
ing vocals and stuff. 7.7/10

10) A Million Miles: The song is cool, ends with this phone message were one of the band members cusses about something. 7.5/10

11) Last Summer: A song that I feel is connected too Ode To Summer. I listened too this song the last day of school when taking the bus home. 7.8/10

12) Sway: A darker song compared too others off the album. Kind of relaxing. 7/10

Overall: 7.9

Liberation Transmission(2006)

I know Liberation Transmission for being much much MUCH more popp
y then their other work and for their long song names(in my opinion). This change of style means it is obvious that they are becoming even more distant then their earlier work. If I only listened too their debut or Start Something and then listened too this, I would have no idea it's Lostprophets.

1)Everyday Combat: Starts off with screaming "YEAAAAHHH" then leads too the song, which will have some people screaming "YEAAAAAH@($*Y$(*@#!!!" 9.2/10

2)A Town Called Hypocrisy: My most overplayed Lostprophets song. 71 times...damn. 9.5/10

3)The New Transmission: Not the best song off the album, its decent though. 7/10

4)Rooftops(A Liberation Broadcast): The main reason why I wanted too get this album in the first place. I first heard this song off Guitar Hero, and is my favorite song too play off of it, cause it just makes you wanna have the time of your life. 10/10

5)Can't Stop, Gotta Date With Hate: A song about some girl. 8/10

6)Can't Catch Tomorow(Good Shoes Won't Save You This Time): A song that makes me think of someone who walks on a road hitching a ride that is like 70 years old. I don't know why. 7.9/10

7)Everybody's Screaming!!!: This song means serious business...it uses 3 "!'s" in it, so it isn't just "Everybody's Screaming!" its "EVERYBODY'S SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!!!1111(Earthquake)" 7.8/10

8)Broken Hearts, Torn up Letters and the Story of a Lonely Girl: A song that could be sad, but its happy and
upbeat. One of my favorites from the album. 8.5/10

9)4:AM Forever: I once listened too this song at 4 A.M. It was cool. I fell asleep after this. Album goes downhill after this song. 8/10

10)For All These Times Son, For All These Times: Not my favorite. 7/10

11)Heaven for the weather, Hell for the Company: Meh. 6.8/10

12)Always All Ways(Apologies, Glances and Messed Up Chances): Not the best... 6.9/10

Overall: 8.1

The Betrayed(2010)

It seems like every album Lostprophets releases seems to be a different style. This album is um...darker? It starts off dark, for like, the first three tracks, but other then that, the other songs sounds upbeat and happy. So saying this album is "darker" is argueable.

1)If It Wasn't For Hate We'd be Dead By Now: Pretty dark song. 7.7/10

2)Dstryr and Dstryr: This song is something you would hear when smashing shit, kinda dark in a way. 8/10

3)It's Not The End Of The World But I Can See it From Here: Quite good. The last dark song off the album for a long time. 7.9/10

4)Where We Belong: I overplayed this song, so I'm sick of it now. I like it, alot. 8.3/10

5)Next Stop Atro City: Kinda weird song, I can't understand some of the lyrics. 7.9/10

6)For He's A Jolly Good Felon: My favorite song off the album. 9.5/10

7)AC Ricochet: I like this, pretty awesome. 8.2/10

8)A Better Nothing: Starts off with this piano-ish opening, and is great throughout. 8.5/10

9)Streets of Nowhere: A catchy song about wandering streets somewhere. 7.8/10

10)Dirty Little Heart: For some reason, it reminds me of Broken hearts from Liberation Transmission. 8.3/10

11)Sunshine: Great song. 8.2/10

12)Darkest Blue: Cool song. 7.6/10

13)The Light That Burns Twice As Bright: The album ends with this song, a sad, slow, depressing, and very dark song. 8.8/10

Overall: 8.2

Poem 11: Step Up

This poem I wrote has several meanings too it too different people, so I will let you decide what it means.

"Pathetic
Disruptive
The pain you gain
Hurts you until the grave

Constipation
Itching Sensation
You cannot lie
You just cry

You think your all this
You think your all that
Let me tell you
Your none of that

Man up
Step up too the stage
Be a little pussy
And run away

~Poem by "M"

Poem 10: Angel Eyes

This is a poem I wrote about when a friend of mine kept having nightmares with her crying.

"The deep sky
Vast and high
So deep and kind
Behind her eyes

Falling down
Into the abyss
I stand there
As my angel cries

Anger exploding
A thousand suns
We can't stop it
Nothing can be done

Here am I
Standing before you
See the truth
Inside of mine

The crying river
Stops
Years of guilt comes to a end
So does mine

Do not worry
Do not fear
We are here
Staring straight into your eyes

Class Presentations

You go up in front of the classroom. You feel nervous, hoping you won't screw up. You studied hard, so you feel that you can do good, but you still feel a bit shacky, and feel like you could shit your pants any minute. It's class presentations. Everyone encounters stage fright sooner or later, and if ANYONE says that they don't have it at all, they are 100% lying.

This week I havn't been able to post anything on my blog, because it was finals. Its the end of first semester, with Friday off, and Second semester starts on Monday. No more Family Health and Science, which is unfortinate, because I liked those classes. I won't be in Weight Training anymore(Thank God...), so now I have Algebra Lab, where you just do your Algebra homework and is very easy.

One of the things I had to do for finals was too make a board and a 3 paged paper about Japanese Culture in Japanese class. I was lucky enough too get Nintendo, because I have a deep understanding of that subject. I did my board in a DAY. No joke, and it turned out tolerable.

Deadly Toothacke

For the past three days, and still going, I have been very sick. The reason? Because of a stupid toothacke and the gums hurt so hard, that I can't even open my mouth wide enough and eat properly. It sucks, hard.

Because of this little basterd, I have been unable to eat some meals. Like, when we had Salmon for dinner, I couldnt eat it and felt like I was being tortured. When brushing my teeth, It felt almost as bad. So unable to eat some meals, I was starving the next day, and started to get Ill. I was getting a shitty fever and other symptoms, and I felt like I could just fall down any second. I eventually ate, and the only thing I ate all day was SOOP and OATMEAL. I really want too see a dentist, but whenever people see me with my toothacke, they think of this:

But what it REALLY feels like to me whenever I eat...

Music Review: Rage Against The Machine

Rage Against The Machine is a rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in the 90's, they were known for being one of the first Rap Metal bands out there and there strong political views toward the government that can be heard in their lyrics. They have released a total of 4 studio albums, and I am going to review all of them, as always.

Rage Against The Machine(1992)
The bands self titled album and their debut album is outstanding. The lyrics, production, the heavyness, is all incredible. Say whatever you want, the album is a classic.

A heavy, raw, track that is a great way to end off the album. I like how in the end it makes sounds as if the stage is breaking down or something. 9/10

Overall: 9.2

Evil Empire(1996)

Evil Empire may not be as good as their self-titled masterpiece, but its still a very solid, great album.

Overall: 8.4

The Battle of Los Angeles(1999)

I just can't point my finger at it. It's just...something about this album is...lacking compared too Evil Empire and Debut. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT.

A great song too end off the album. 8.3/10

Overall: 8.2

Renegades(2000)

Renegades is a bit different compared too Rage's other three Studio Albums. To begin with, the whole album is a cover album, covering artists like The Rolling Stones, Cypress Hill, etc. Second, I can't help but think that Zack sounds like a badass gangsta that will f*** shit up, like "Pistol Grip Pump" and "How I Could Just Kill A Man"

BIG NEWS: Food Court Now In Production!

Big news everyone. Some of you may remember back then I was going to make a remake of the origonal Food Court. Due to technical difficulty's, with Powerpoint 2000 all of a sudden deleating and Powerpoint 2007 just being a douchebag, I have been having troubles.

I was able to get BOTH to work, yeah, for real. I'm going to make this Food Court all in 2007. I already made the plot summary's for the chapters that is in the "movie", so I know what I have to work on and improve. I have had years of experience with Powerpoint, and now I am going to use all I can to make this my best work. Not much to say at the moment, but I will post updates for it sometime later.

Toasty The Snowman

So yesterday I made my first somewhat life-sized snowman. Whenever it was snowing, there wouldn't be enough room or space to make a snowman, and it would wind up being a tiny little piece of shit that would fall apart. Other days, I felt sick, or was too freezing to go outside. This time I was feeling OK, so I was able to make a snowman. I gave it my favorite hat and my new blue jacket. Check it out:

Rain To Snow

Guess what? It was um..."SNOWING" on wensday! Yeah, really! It was snowing, then it rained, then it turned back to snow, and rained again! Isn't that awesome? Don't you love it when it snows and then it suddenly just stops and rains? Check out how much snow we got!

Check out that snow, thats so much snow. I'm so happy. I love it.

...

...

...

No it's not cool that was absolute bullshit. W
here I live, its a mild climate, but there is strong winds and harsh rain recently, so I don't know. Mother Nature is being infair. I already mentioned how it rained so hard I got Hyperthermia. It was so windy, when I was walking on the street, my precious hat got blown off my head and landed on the big street, where I had to run and pick it up. Not cool.

Good news though. Yesterday it actually SNOWED SOMEWHAT! I'm not kidding, It was awesome! It was around 11:30 P.M when it happened, there were kids making snowman and stuff, so it gave me a chance to stay up later then usual. I'll add some pictures now.

Poem 9: Life On Paper

This is a poem I worked on for a bit when the idea of something "highlighting your life" somehow came in my mind. I'm very happy with the final results of the poem.

"Issues and problems
Constant rips
and crumbles
on the paper

Paragraphs and sentances
Describing your life
as you were a kid too adult
Slowly passes before your eyes

Drawings of a house
A family with a baby
Craddling in their arms
At Intro

Love keeps us alive
Someone to adore
A significant other
Highlight your life

Soaring in the wind in the cold
The paper drifting along like an airplane
Unaware of the
Consecuences that may happen

Growing old and weak
The death scissors coming near
White it all out
Erase all memories

Scribble out the negative
Tape the wounds
Unfold yourself
It's life on paper

Poem 8:Sun Won't Shine

This is a poem I wrote when waiting for someone, it's a long story.

"Blueberry's grow stale
Apple's won't shine
My sunshine
Won't rise

That burning feeling
Won't come out
For my sun is gone
A broken dream

The cold moon took her spot
I'm freezing to death
Please come out and play
My burning sunshine

I fell flat down on my face
Several times
Wishing you were here
But got back up again

Three Days
One life
She will come back
May seem like
an eternity
But I shall wait
Until the end."

A New Start

It's been eight days since I last posted. I have been busy with stuff, sleeping and crap. I was going to post this a while ago called "Happy New Years" or "New Years Resolutions", but I couldn't. School and stuff.

I am in a bit of a upset mood today, so I am going to keep this post short. Happy late New Years everyone, its 2011. This is a new era in Food Court Productions, because I am going to make some changes, they may not be noticable, but here are my resolutions.

Powerpoint 2000: Yesterday I was able to get Office 2000 again after several people lieing several times. That means, I get too work on Food Court again. But then again it's like, who cares. No one is gonna watch it. They might as well call my creation that I put several months into shit. Unfortanetly, 2007 is being a little shithead so I can't make new flashy title cards and stuff.

Pictures: With a Digital Camera, Powerpoint back, Photoshop, and paint, I might add more pictures.

No Website: I have been giving myself a pain for attempting to make a website no one would give a shit about. I want Food Court Productions too only be a blog, so screw making a website of it.

No F#*(#ing Around: I have to make my posts serious and find new things to talk about. Oh and slacking off by not posting for several times is something I'm changing.

By the way, we ended off December in a good way. Believe it or not, it was the month were I got the most traffic, beating September, which is shocking. Not much can be said for now, but I will continue to blog on whatever comes to mind.

Food Court Productions. Writing Crap.
